The North American Thermal Analysis Society is pleased to announce an exciting invitation to students to enroll in the acclaimed NATAS Short Course at the reduced rate of just $200.00 Students will learn the fundamentals of thermal analysis, with modules on DSC, TGA, DMA, and TMA on Day 1. The North American Thermal Analysis Society will hold the 36th Annual Conference at the beautiful Renaissance Waverly Hotel in the northwest portion of Atlanta, GA in 2008. This is a perfect forum for thermal analysts, scientists, and engineers to meet and share their research and expertise. NATAS offers you the opportunity to learn about new techniques, increase your knowledge of thermal analysis and material performance, and see the newest instruments and accessories.
By attending one of the short courses, you get the opportunity to meet thermal analysis experts; see results from diverse application areas; know how to apply new techniques for improved results, data collection and analysis; participate in discussions on practical problem solving; learn about the standardized testing methods; and learn how to extend the use of your thermal analysis capabilities to new areas or to better characterize current applications.

Publication Submittal
Presentation titles and 1 to 2 page abstracts for organizational purposes and for the program booklet has been extended until April 30, 2008. A manuscript (up to 15 pages in length) will be used for publication in the Proceedings, which will be provided on a CD. Deadline for submission of manuscripts is June 16, 2008. Poster Competition for Students
T
here is a call for papers from undergraduate and graduate students using thermal analysis in their research. The 2008 regional recognition and poster competition will take place on Sunday, August 17 before the NATAS conference. Attendance by presenting students will be supported by special educational funds. Awards will be offered at the conclusion of the poster contest.
